This Privacy Policy explains how MindDrive Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, protects, and shares information about users of the MindDrive app, a premier journal and note storage service. By utilizing the MindDrive app, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

Account Creation: To access MindDrive, users register using their email address directly or through Google or Apple ID. The sole personal information we collect at registration is your email address, if provided.

Analytics and Log Data: For app enhancement, we employ Google Analytics to aggregate data from your device, such as device type and geographical location. This information does not allow individual user identification.

Support Requests: When you contact us for support through email or our contact form, we collect your email address solely to respond to your inquiries, provide support, or deliver important information related to your account.

Data Security

Encryption Practices: User data is safeguarded with end-to-end AES encryption at all times. Beyond this, a server-side master encryption key adds a robust second security layer while user data is stored which ensures that no internal personnel can ever access it.

Our optional Advanced Security feature introduces a PIN-based device-level encryption, solely known to and managed by the user on their device. User data security and privacy is a top priority at MindDrive and it was designed into the app at every level from day one.

Third-Party Providers and Sharing

Comprehensive Third-Party Usage: Our service integrates with Firestore for secure data storage, Google Analytics for app usage analysis, OpenAI for enhanced text analysis features, and Google Vision for OCR functionalities. Each third-party service adheres to its stringent privacy protocols, ensuring your data is securely processed and encrypted.

Data Handling and Retention: MindDrive and its third-party providers do not retain personal data longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. We follow strict guidelines to anonymize and aggregate data used for analytical purposes.

Photos and Attachments: Photos and attachments are not stored in the app. They are solely used for Image-to-Text processing capabilities. MindDrive does not store, or have access to any images or photos that are used for Image-to-Text processing.

Payment Processing: All user financial data is managed by Apple and Google payment services, not through MindDrive directly. This is to promote user safety. MindDrive utilizes a third-party called RevenueCat to manage the link between MindDrive and the Apple and Google payment processing services. No personal or financial information is shared with RevenueCat directly.

User Rights and Requests

Managing Your Information: Users can access, update, or request the deletion of their personal information within the MindDrive app or on the MindDrive website through the contact form. For data portability requests or to opt-out of analytics tracking, please contact our support team from inside the app or on the MindDrive website.

Analytics Opt-Out: We respect user privacy preferences. You can opt out of analytics tracking by contacting us; we will then disable data tracking for your account.

Children’s Privacy

MindDrive is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information and terminate the child's account.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this policy at our discretion to reflect changes in our practices. We will notify you of significant changes through email or an in-app notification, encouraging you to review the updated policy.
